No chemicals are meant to be used on scg.

If you go on Pilkington's web site and look up self cleaning glass they tell you what you can use. They say soapy water and in brackets put "(eg washing up liquid)".
So Fairy's ok.
But can a squeegee damage it? Hmmmm!
Personally I only ever gently wfp it as I get the frames clean too. I'd tell my custy to take a hike if they wanted to dictate whether I use wfp or not. Muppets!

They named it wrong really. There is no such thing as "self cleaning", they should have called it "easy cleaning" or something like that. I do a few wfp, they clean easy.

thing is the house with self cleaning glass gets just as dirty as my regular houses whether thats because the fairy is attracting the dirt i dont no
plus when i first did the house i didnt no about self cleaning glass and they were quite dirty so was rubbing hard on stuborn marks and using small scraper which did put permenant marks on the glass now but they big windows so cant really see them

WFP is fine on scg.
Tip from the top- Mr Sheen multi surface cleaner. Just rub on with a small cloth & buff with scrim/micro. Very easy & fast on small panes with perfect results! Might be hard work if they're all big panes though.
