This tender is for the provision of cleaning services for student
residential accommodation and residential conference facilities at the
University of the West of England.
The University provides in excess of 3 000 study bedrooms to its students.
The accommodation comprises of:
The student village, Frenchay Campus comprising of 4 courtyards totalling
1936 en-suite student bedrooms and 253 bedrooms within 41 houses.
Glenside/St Matthias Campus accommodation encompassing 545 study bedrooms
in houses/flats.
During the summer vacation period (end June- beginning September) all
areas of the accommodation are given a deep clean. The University also
runs its residential conferences in the accommodation at this time. A
hotel standard of cleaning is required for both deep cleaning and
conference cleaning. There are also a number of private landlord houses in
and around Bristol City Centre.
There may be an occasional requirement to provide ad hoc cleaning services
to the University, including window cleaning.

The University of the West of England invites tenders for summer deep
cleaning and conference cleaning for it's student residences. This will be
split into 2 lots.
This will initially be a one year contract with the option to extend,
subject to satisfactory performance review, on an annual basis up to 4
years.

LOT NO: 1
TITLE Residential accommodation deep cleaning
1) SHORT DESCRIPTION
The University currently provides in excess of 3 000 study bedrooms of
residential accommodation to students. During the summer vacation period
(end June to beginning of September) all areas of the accommodation are
given a 'deep clean', both within the flats and houses and in the common
parts. We are looking for suppliers who will be able to provide a first
class standard of service for deep cleaning.

TITLE Summer conferences cleaning
1) SHORT DESCRIPTION
Conference cleaning: The University operates residential conferences over
the summer period (end June to beginning of September) ranging from
international summer schools and sports events to international academic
symposium. A hotel standard of room preparation and cleanliness is
required for all conference cleaning.

The primary customer(s) of this contract is the University of the West of
England. However, this contract may also be used by any local authority in
the South West Region of England, a list of which can be found at
