I have a large car park to do and they want full job done (fungi wash, cleaning, re sanding and sealing)
What is the easiest way of doing fungicidal wash on 1300sq m? And how much roughly to charge for complete job?

why do you need a fungi wash? a fsc and turbo should do the job. i have never used it once in 9 years of working and my jobs are spotless.

look at the weather conditions it may be a long drawn out process to complete

There are people out there who'll do that sort of area for 3 quid a metre
I lost a couple of jobs over the past few weeks

if they go for complete job it will be spring next year or i might be just cleaning this winter

There are people out there who will do it for less than that. I lost few jobs this summer because of this them.  1 particular job 190sq m: cleaning, fungi wash, re sanding and sealing people do for £450. Just don’t know how is that possible, sealant cost, sand + labour

It's pointless attempting sealing this time of year unless you're prepared for the customer to call you in the future to fix the problems.

An extra 75p for the seal would be too low anyway. 4.25 for the full process is not enough unless you're using crap sealant that is costing you 30 quid a drum.
Good sealant averages 80/90 quid a drum. I've used cheaper stuff round the 50/60 quid mark and you can see the difference.

5.50/6 quid for a good profit.

In terms of applying chem, we use a black dustbin and suck from it with a pressure washer turned down a bit on the unloader with a wide fan nozzle then giving the pump a good flush through with fresh water to clean the seals.
Low pressure sprayers will take too long for a large area of this size.

i never go for a high grade sealant as most of my work is domestic  low trafficked areas
but i never had any problems
 with the products i use
what would you consider a fair and competative price
given that these are 5-6 g jobs so vat is likely to be charged if his pitching in this market


essentially the fella is asking for a price  where he will make a few quid we would all like to offer a higher price but would you win the job

They asked for 2 quotes

First: cleaning and fungi wash to be done in next few weeks
or
Second: fungi, cleaning, re sanding, sealing to be done spring next year

So no sealing in winter time

Price depends on how much you need the job
it's a nice little earner this side of Xmas
maybe your rate for cleaning and cover your costs on the wash

also if its a trafficked area it my not be such a good idea toleave the joints unsanded or so long before resealing / sanding as the client will prob get movement in the blocks

best to do the operation all in 1 go later in the yrear
