Hi all,
       In the process of starting up my own oven cleaning business in Northants,
and was just after some advice please.
I really wanted to go down the bio non-caustic route and obviously using a dip tank as well to speed things along but not sure where to get the product from other than the dirtbusters one thats on ebay?
has anyone used there product and is it any good please? if not what else and where do i get it from please? don't want to go spending out on a product only for it to be useless at doing what i want it to do.
any advice will be greatly apriciated thanks.

hi mate,i,ve used the dirtbusters stuff and have found it excellent,i place the parts in i large plastic container then i boil the water in a burco boiler and put it in the container, leave for 30mins,it works a treat and it,s a lot cheaper han a dip tank....

 thanks for that mate,i've actually already ordered something else that was recommended to me but i did already order the paste from dirtbusters before.
do you use that as well as the oven cleaner? and is it any good?
will try both and see what works best for me i guess....

That boiler is a good idea mate,but lucky for me my girlfriends dad is a fabricator and he's building me a basic dip tank for 150 quid! : )

did you have any training for oven cleaning? or did you teach yourself? i'm on a bit of a tight budget at the moment so just trying to get as much free infomation as i can! ha ha

i,ve only done about a dozen mate to be honest and it as been trial and error but to be hones t,s gone very well up t now,most of the door hinges have been the pop over clip type(very easy)i,m assuming these are the most common,i did buy the paste but to be honest i havn,t used it coz the solution as been sufficient,best of luck mate....ps well done on te dip tank

Hi Paul,

If you want to be really Eco friendly then it would be a case of using Astonish in the house and washing up liquid in your dip tank. I've used Fairy Liquid for a few months and found that I could do the ovens in about the same time but the only difference is that when you take the racks etc from the tank you'll have to do some work on them. Just a case of rubbing over with steel scourer. This means over the day a lot more work and your arms will ache. Also the end result isn't 100%, if your are used to get 100% like I am then really at the end of the day you want a perfect job rather than one which isn't which is why I switched back.

Don't try the Burco boiler trick with Caustic Powder it explodes when you add hot water!

haha i tried adding boiling water to caustic powder and we had to clear the flat for the afternoon.  Iwill buyone of those dip tanks.
