Spray tan
« on: November 20, 2010, 11:39:40 am »
Doing a job on Monday were the customer has sprayed herself with spray tan and got it on a patch of carpet in the bathroom.

Is there any chance of this coming out?And is spray tan the same stuff as Fake tan

When Ive seen fake tan stains they have been orangy/brown blotches but this was a larger area that looked a differnt shade to the rest of the carpet.

Thanks

wayne

Last time I did a spray tan job it simply came out with HWE. The spray tan is different in some way to the fake tan that you can buy in the shops, it tends to feel a little greasy so I just misted it with craftex multisolve and allowed it to dwell while I set up

Probably permenate. I can tell from just looking at a stain if its coming out or not. I always try tho sometimes suprise myself :) unless its iron bru, bleach or the like.

If she's a honey ask to apply it on her next time and you'll ensure no drips!  :-X

Tony, what with this and your pink PVC bootie thread I think you need some bromide in your tea. ;D
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

Ive been meaning to buy some Sod Mets to have a play about and experiment with it.

I believe its available at home brew outlets but the only place similar near me is Wilkinsons and they dont sell it.

Is it available from any other outlets?

Buy it from John @ Restormate. (Chemspec product)

These products are dyes for the purpose of changing skin colour and as such are permanent.
They only come off (humans) as the skin flakes so there's little if any chance of 'washing' it out of carpet.
And that's how I explain it to cusomers.
