we've possibly got a site with a lot of blinds which need cleaning. i've previously done blind cleaning only once before for an office and that was once a month so it took a while and thinking back about it i didn't like it too much as it got very samey.

they've requested they be done more like once a fortnight or even once a week (we only clean once a week any way) but a light clean instead.

as the blinds are actually very clean it is just lose dust which needs to be taken off. i thought maybe someone could suggest a very good duster that'll really pick up the dust and if i just close the blinds and run it along them? or if not anything else people use to get them done in a sensible time?

there is around 20 blinds all the height of a door so a lot to do

What type Venetian wooden / metal or cant remember what there called, the long dangley ones made of material?

If its the metal ones we just simply just feather dust those on a regular basis and dont let the dust build up. We dust both sides.

Now if they are filthy its a bit of a pain. Time consuming. You have a couple of choices here.

1. Price for them to be ultrasonically cleaned - there labour in taking down and erecting back up as well as the clean. However they may as well purchase new blinds as the cost is fairly high.

2 take them down if metal and soak them in a bath of soapy water. The wipe until done.

3. soapy water in a spray bottle and manually clean wipe one strand blind at a time metal or wooden

4. As above feather dust if just to keep dust off

they're all venetian metal blinds, very thin and long and tall unfortunately the ones i dislike the most.

as they're already very clean feather dusting it is then.

You can dust them as well with a microfibre clothe.

If the blinds fit correctly you can press them against the window to allow pressure on the blind.

There is another method, ive tried it and I dont think its great, there is a Venetian cleaning tool

Try a horse hair brush we use the henry one close blind and lightly run back and forward from the top.

i've tried those venetian blind cleaning tools and infact so have this customer and both agree they're useless. maybe ok if someone has about 10 slates and a few hours to do it in but other then that they're total waste of money.
