Advice from experience. Treat your company as you expect other to treat it. This means if you flaunt the rules and procedures then staff will do exactly the same. Good advice given above, stick to company formalities and you will find that in most cases (not all) staff will take you and your company seriously irrespective of your company size.
Chin up. There are good staff out there who are willing to put the time and effort in to make you feel proud and confident in their ability to represent your company.
