Got a call, friend’s parents had a radiator pipe pop a leak at 3am about 10 days ago. Dad sucked up excess water with an Aquavac but surprise surprise, there is a big stain, about 1.5m x 1.5m in the middle of the room, leak was upstairs.
I have rinsed using M/S then applied Prochems browning prescription twice. The middle of the stain has gone but there is a brown water ring, about 6-8" wide that remains.
I realise that what is left is probably permanent, however, Friends parents, insurance claim anyway so I have got nothing to loose so I was thinking of using Oxibrite to try and lighten the remaining stain as the carpet is light in colour but thought I'd get alternative opinions first. My arsenal comprises of:
Browning Prescription
Oxibrite
Fibre Buff
Carpet Shampoo
Rust Remover
M/S
Eco Spotter
Carpet is mixed loop with a Hessian backing.
Your opinions would be appreciated.
