I won't go back to ladders, I've been Wfp for 4 years. I have no problems selling the van. My wife and daughter come first.
I bought the van to try and get to my next level and maybe I'm giving in to quick. But with economics being tight I might cut my losses.

Here's my rain guarantee.

Dear Customer - a note from your window cleaner

So that we keep your panes and frames gleaming we provide a regular service and keep to a reasonably predictable schedule; however it can be a bit of a juggling act getting the balance between arriving on time and not cleaning in really bad weather.

To preserve schedules we clean in drizzly and showery conditions too. Please be assured that the purified water system contains no soapy residues - and this means your windows will remain clean despite squally showers that may land on the glass during the cleaning and allowing to dry process.

However in the rare event that you feel the rain has marked any of your glass then please do not hesitate to call us back and we will clean the offending window(s) again.

It's a game of three halves!

I know mate,
With the extras on the van and vat it was just over £30k, a van went through an auction in Manchester last week and made £24k so I'm looking at a loss of £6000 which is £600 a month for the 10 months of ownership.

This is good mate but i wouldnt even put that in cos it makes them aware to check your work. then they might call you over a little bead which they never noticed but always shows up on that particular window.

most people will be out and the rain may have already stopped when they arrive home so they wont know :)

its a good idea you got thou , its quote professorial some customers may like it others may think there is something wrong with cleaning in the rain and you are trying to cover it up!

my worse mistake was poping notices of the wfp change over i had a few that refused cos they thought i was trying to pull a fast one.

so i just turned up with the pole and said nothing worked much better same thing for the rain Just Do It :)
