Hi all...

This has probably been covered before..if so,sorry....but,im in the patio washing business with a very good pressure washer...i want to know if there is a chemical that i can use that slowly dissolves (perhaps a day or 2 before)on the surface area,just basically to make the job a tad easier?

I'd be careful about leaving a chemical overnight or a two. Too many what ifs may arise which could leave you in all sorts of trouble. ie what if by some coincidence their cat gets violently ill or what if a stain appears on the carpet in the hallway and they blame you or the chemical you left behind. Don't leave yourself exposed to any legal action or an excuse not to pay you. If they decide its your fault, regardless of what the real reason could be, it will be almost impossible to get your money. Personally, I try and avoid any use unless really necessary.

What equipment do you use?

Used Jewsons own make patio cleaner ( about ten pound for 5 lts ) for the first time last week, on block paving that was covered in cement deposit, used it at full strength, worked it in with stiff yard brush and left it to dwell for half an hour,did not have time to load pressure washer on to van so ended up using t/m 900psi with small wirl away,came up a treat,

Must admit ,the issue of legal ramifications hadnt really occurred to me!

I use a 2500psi,2.8 gpm,6.5 hp petrol machine...it does a wonderful job and everyone is chuffed with the result just using water..i was just feeling a tad lazy!!Lol.

I will look out for the jewsons stuff too...thanks.Does it work ok on normal flagstones too??
