« on: September 15, 2005, 08:38:39 am »
hi all need to get ouut and earn some money, but it seems this good old british weather always stops me doing a full week.  What i want to know is does anyone go out in the drizzle/ rain and clean the windows with their wfp ? .

Some will work in light rain & drizzle, some wont.

I will work in rain but not heavy rain - though my workload is massive and I now employ so days off are going to be less and less.

Offer a rain guarantee - and let the responsibility be on them to check how clean they are after you've cleaned in rain.

Rob ;D

Right now it is raining - I ain't working but am selling a van tonight

Gifted, I did a house and then a conservatory roof with the wfp this morning - getting a bit heavy so packed in
the woman at the house was surprised I worked in the rain
wfp is a treat in this weather compared to the ladders

I've been working in the drizzle all morning, some customers pull face but I explain that if I only worked in the nice weather then they would have to pay more to have windows cleaned...

One replied this morning I don't mind you cleaning them in the rain its just that the rain marks them again its not as clean as your water....

Right thats me Stopped raining, changed T/shirt back out I go...

I'll go and do some new customers (get them trained early on)

I only had one today who said not to bother cleaning them today due to the rain. She told me to come back the next day if it not raining if not the next.
I told her i work in the dry and wet as i have bills to pay and if she let me do them she was quite welcome to check them after.
Think i will drop this one but the rest were fine.
They all said just because it raining the windows still need cleaning.
As i was using wfp i checked the windows when i had finished and all seemed ok two customers even gave me a fiver for getting wet.

I try not to work in the rain if I can help it.

Nothing to do with what the customers might think.

I just hate getting wet

But then I did move to N Ireland.

Time to get a new raincoat

I always work in the rain. As I explain to my customers 'it rains 12 months of the year in this country so if I didn't work in the rain I'd hardly work at all' Why not work in the rain? As long as you're kitted out properly it doesn't make any difference! 8)

We do windows in  a light drizzle, most of the accounts in the US are every two weeks. We just say its going to rain sometimes between now and your next visit anyway ::)
