Whats the OTE ?
« on: March 13, 2006, 07:00:15 pm »
Hello lads

It has been taking me longer with the new cleans but got my weekends now nearly full up.

In the luxuary position off Hate my Job and am building up the WC whilst in employment.

Just means I have hardley any spare time left.

What I was wondering if you can tell me
How many cleans is average for 1 day and how much can you earn Daily,  Weekly, Monthly and Yearly on average with weather into the count as well.

Ps working alone.

Cheers guys

Warm weather soon.

I think everyones OTE is different to be honest.

I aim for at least £150 per day, and clean between 6 - 8 houses per day (I only target larger houses).

When I first started out I wasn't getting anywhere near £150 per day, but with experience etc... you get a lot lot quicker.

Hi Jago

I'm in a similar position to you, the 1st clean tends to take ages and the daily rate can be as low as £90. But, if you do a thorough job on the 1st clean, by the 3rd visit you should seem a distinct improvement in your hourly rate.

Even in areas that I consider 'slow' my hourly rate is £18-£20 per hour and I usually make between £140 - £160 per day.

I tried canvassing bigger houses and charging a higher rate, but to be honest there doesn't seem to be any clear benefit in the hourly returns, in fact I think it's better to do 3 small houses at £6, rather than a couple of medium-sized ones at £9.

Having said that, my hourly rate for the last few days has been a big, fat, hairy 0, as my car has bitten the dust and is receiving such much needed TLC. Steer clear of French engineering is my advice

Rik Srry to hear about the Motor
and thanks for the encouragment.
I am taking advice and will be trying this on my next canvasing.

I WILL be charging a couple of quid more for 1st cleans.
so my now 8's will be 8 - 10

I do all the sills and feel this does warrent the price.
Just hope the customers agree.

Have just been told through Family that others now want me as they have got rid of there old cleaner some time ago as he was not good enough.

Will let ya know how I get on.
Regards J.
