Ladders: indispensable?

I'm seriously loking into a window cleaning business but there is no way I'm climbing up a ladder. I'd do something else, it's just not worth the risk.
My question is: Do you really need a ladder? Can you successfully run a business of this sort without using a ladder at all?
Thanks in advance.

Yes. I do. Except I have a 6ft ladder with ladder mitts on it for reaching over to unlock gates. Rarely I will use it in a porch to get to the top of a "light" above a door that I cannot reach from the ground.
I could manage without it. But the days of second and third floor work off of a ladder are over for me.

I would say yes you could do without one but you may have to say no to the odd job or two.
I planned not to have ladders but in the end i surrendered and got some yesterday.
Today i used them to just give me that little extra hight so i could see roof of cony so i could clean it properly without guessing if i have got all the dirt and muck.

IMO you do need some sort of ladders with you.i use my 8ft single pointer for opening gates some days and my 3.5m 2 section trade ladders for the odd flat roof up and overs.i also use them for some conny roofs cleans with a stand off.you cant clean some roofs without them.
90% of the time my feet are firmly on the ground now because of water fed pole though!
