Vanish Foam
« on: August 25, 2010, 07:50:19 pm »
When I first saw the advert for the vanish foam i thought, no way! That has got to be a con! That will do more harm than good!

Anyway had a call from a regular custy that I hadnt heard from for a while. She said I think I've ruined my carpet, I used vanish foam a while ago and now my cream carpet is black! I thought she was going ott, so I  said I'll pop round and take a look.....................JEEZ!!!!

It looked like a pub carpet!

Cleaned it no problem, it was pretty easy actually, looked great, she was well impressed. I dont think she will use that again. When I dropped the waste it looked like I was having a foam party from my van!

Anyoine else had this?

Every other day! I hope the production team behind the Vanish tv ads got paid alot of money, they have done a great job in marketing that product....

It would do because there's still a fair amount of detergent attached to the fibres, and that's the reason why it looked black because dust and dirt get's stuck to the fibres, unlike a clean fibre which releases the dirt straight to a good vacuum.
The biggest danger with these jobs is when the customer DOESN'T tell you they used it all over the place, and the machine starts making a strange noise.....oh that'll be the vacuum motors chocking to death on suds >:(
