Price by area or time?
« on: August 24, 2010, 11:14:09 am »
Hi,

We have recently launched our own cleaning business, generally cleaning small offices etc and small shops. I just wanted to be pointed in the right direction and some advise on how to price jobs? I was told you can price it by the size of the area to be cleaned? and others have told me to price it by the time it will take to complete the job.

What is the best way, and any advice is really appreciated,

Thanks,

Mike

Id say time as some areas that are the same size will be dirtier than others, hence taking more time to complete. John

hi there

time and area are both linked in the calcuation.

the big boys will work on a ratio of something like 2000 - 3000 sq ft per hour.

with regards to the level of dirtiness, you sell them an initial clean to bring the standard upto whereit needs to be, then mot areas should take realtively the same time/effort to keep commerially clean.
