WOOL SAFE.
I did a quote today and wished all prospects were like this. The first thing she said on the phone was "I want my carpets cleaned, but it must be by someone who is experienced, trained and qualified because I have wool". This was followed by "I don't want any toxic chemicals because I have a baby crawling around". In other words, the classic Woolsafe customer. I did the quote armed with my Woolsafe certificate and got the job despite being double the price of her other quote.
We operators have a responsibility in educating customers but I would like the trade organisations to boost what they are doing too with the aim of making all discerning customers ask the same questions.

There is no doubt in my mind as a Woolsafe certified technician and carpet inspector that working within woolsafe parameters after attending a woolsafe course would lead to better results and safer working for the vast majority of cleaners.

It’s quite a while since I attended the course, but I was very happy with the training and the network and feel there is always back-up if I need it.
