I have just moved all my WFP kit to a new van but the pump does not seem to have the same pressure, the only difference in the set up of the new vehicle is that the pump is mounted upright,(with the outlets at the top) where as in the old van it was upside down, does anybody know if this should make a difference?

the inlet/outlet should be at the bottom, its probably sucking in air.

Quite right.
Check which way up the writing is on the side of the pump, for the writing to be the correct way round the pump has to be outlets up.
If it's sucking in air then you got a leak somewhere, try ptfe on the joints

I've just had to return a booster pump to PureFreedom because it was leaking.  They asked me which way up we had it mounted and I said 'inlet/outlets at the top'.  They told me an electric pump with the pump at one end should always be mounted motor uppermost, so if there is a leak it won't damage the motor.

Seems logical but...
You returned the pump because it was leaking, not because it leaked over the motor, either way if it leaks it's knackered anyway.

In addition to this... if you mount the pump outlet down floor level how are you ever gonna adjust/change the pressure switch

The pump may be mounted in any position. However, if
mounting the pump vertically the pump head should be in the
down position so that in the unlikely event of a leak, fluid will not
enter the motor.
