No problem phillip.

I have been going for just over two years.I started off with a fiesta and ladders and went straight to wfp 3 months later.I didnt have any money to invest so my bank gambled on me as ive been with them so long.

My first big job fell through and thats when i thought oops ive really got to make this work.I used to be delivery driver and that was making me ill getting up at 2 in the morning and multi dropping in central london most days.So i got into this weekends to start with. Then when i new i had enough to cover my house bills etc i gave up and went full time.

Like i said some of my customers have been luck right place right time and most have been word of mouth.

I started with tucker poles which i run from two retratca hoses and on one client go over 70 feet.I have two 60psi shurflow pumps and as mentioned on other threads had probllems with the swtiches on the pumps blowing because of water flow.I done this to cut resin costs not water but long term cost me more thorugh lost days because of wating for new switches. So i invested in a varistream controller great move.

The reason i went with a merlin ro was because i looked at leasing units etc but didnt want to spend 1000 a month on lease so i run from home but dont have a garage so merlin is ideal.

I get 1:2 on water and waste because i have a really good water pressure and can fill my 700 lrt tank witin 4 hours from empty.

Many people on here ask about water costs and waste etc but you have to look at it long term.Ok your water bill doubles from 200 to 400 every 6 months but i was spending 2,500 in the same period on resin which i dont do now for 18-24 months. And you dont have the hassle of running out of resin mid week waiting for more and losing days working.

Like many others here i didnt have a clue about quoting ok i got loads of details form th nfmw&gc and other people but only one person really helped me.He said what do you want to earn in a day add your over heads and youve come up with a quoting system quick and to the point.

So now when i quote i quote in hours not windows, and i have a starting price of 20.00 and commercial 45.00 per hour to the nearest hour.I didnt have any training just some common sense, didnt know what t owrite when quoting just learnt as ive gone on.The best part of this job is customer satisfaction if ive been late ive cleaned the inside free and sometimes done the outside free too.Ive also told many customers that if they give me one new 20.oo customer i do theirs free next and this has bought me alot of work. Some people think its greed ive quoted jobs for 500 for a day they have been quoted 800-1000 so ive not done too bad.One customer have build 250,000 sports cars they used to pay 1,600 per quarter i do for 200 but i go every month takes 2 hours but they still save a lot of money.
