Simon

I have  a few machines including the Prowler, Scorpion, Cimex C48 encap, Carpet Gard (Flexi5), and Oreck Orbiter (got recently from Mike Halliday-thank you Mike).
I have had a Chemspepc Avenger (remember I rang you over 2 years ago for your advice as to whether I should buy this 2nd hand unit or not), a CFR500 from Matt at Cleansmart, the Texatherm rotary system (sold to Steve Gunn), Dry Fusion system (sold to the late John Gregory), and still got the very first machine I bought 17 years ago which I still use as an occasional spotter - a Numatic twin vac.

The Scorpion I have had for nearly 3 years, bought 2nd hand off Spencer Davies form Eastbourne. Have you read the thread "Scorpion with Tanks", most recent post was 05:52 yesterday morning by me.

So there you are Simon - you are up to date now.

Joe,

Crikey, Joe, you're tooled up to the max. I must try encap one day.
Which is your favourite machine?

Forgot one - 15" Numatic rotary.

Favourite - difficult to say cause they are for different ie hwe, rotary, encap, crb

Easiest to use is defo the Cimex C48. I would love to be able to try the US fluids like ReleaseIt, but not available over here - frustrating cause I have seen some amazing results.

For overall best results - got to be hwe, therefore the Prowler and the Scorpion.
The Prowler is the best of those two, BUT if I mounted the Scorpion in the van, like some have, complete with auto fill and auto dump I think that would do much more then a very satisfactory job.

but like all things, the machine is just part of the sum, you definitely need the right cleaning fluids.
Up to recently I have been using Nemesis a lot, with Powerburst on really bad ones.  However, like a lot of cleaners, more recently I have been using Fusion8 more and more, with HD when grotty. Waiting for a delivery of Solu-boost to add to the Fusion8 on grott ones.

The Scorpions great, just go with the auto cut off for the waste tank or buy the auto dump. Suss out a decent method for filling it too. I mainly dangle the feed and recirculating hoses from the fresh water tank in 25 litre containers of water now. Theses hoses are 1 metre long which makes it easy.
