Can someone tell me the best place to get a replacement vac motor unit for my Powrflite PFX1350, I had one burn out today. ( Due to design fault, will post some photo's later )
What do I get when I buy a replacement ? just the motor or complete with vac assembly ?
I remember some talk of pattern units being available but can't find the thread.
Very urgent please advise.
Thanks
Paul
Update Hope this is clearer than mud !
I Got a new Italian vac motor unit on Friday afternoon from Weatherby, it looks identical in every way to the original.
We fitted it today but when you fire both vacs up the suction is way down on performance, the question is why ??
The facts
The day the vac motor went down I did run the machine on it's one remaining vac motor for the last job of the day assuming it would have enough suction with the 1 vac motor to get me through with a few extra passes - However there wasn't even enough to pull any water through to the tank, it just fell back down the wand ??
When we fitted the new unit we replaced the sponge seal gaskets at the rear of both vacs because they had both moved out of line, vac 1 ( the unit still working ) had moved so much that it was blocking off the exhaust hole almost completely. - I'm now guessing that it wouldn't work on that single vac becuase of this gasket blocking its exhaust.
I assume this gasket is the cause of the burn out in vac number 2 as its been taking all the strain and this over time has reduced performance in vac 1 significantly as well.
I just want to be sure it's not possible to do something silly when fitting a new unit thats got the 2 units working against each other ?
The new Italian unit definately has more suction than the other unit when tried individually, but the old unit still sounds fine, can they be knackered and still sound ok ? The one that failed on Thursday sounded bloody awful !
So many questions !!! I guess the logical thing to do is take the whole machine back to weatherby and fit another new Italian unit alongside the new unit we fitted on Friday to see if that cures the problem, if not then I will swap for original units ( they do supply both )
Just wanted to get some feedback in case it's something silly I've missed.
Will get my camera back from my dads later to show the gasket problem and how to
cure it.
Thanks in advance guys
