hard floor cleaning course
« on: July 21, 2010, 05:03:33 pm »
can anyone recommend and hard floor cleaning course? friend of a friend gets a lot of requests and said would send work out way if we can do it so i think it's a wise idea to get some training for this. i'm in surrey area so would prefer if there was a decent one to go to close. any suggestions?

also as it's related, been asked to clean a small area of limestone floor and a large area of slate by a customer. i mentioned to the lady that i haven't cleaned this before so i'll have to do a bit of research to see how to clean it safely. any suggestions on what i should use? limestone is in hallway so small enough to use a hand-held brush it that would do the work, but kitchen area is fairly large. as mentioned this would be first time i've cleaned this style of floor so all advise is welcome.

i appreciate cleaning hard floors can be a specialist area so i'm not 100% going to be doing it, and also i am not going into this thinking as i'm a cleaner i can clean anything and everything with no risk. i would like honest advise about how i can learn to do this if it's too much.

finally just had another though, pricing. i have a normal set per hour rate for domestic/eot cleans etc but no clue on what to charge for hard floor cleaning for any time. if anyone is brave enough to give a ball park figure that'd be great.
