If you have 15 jobs lined up over the next three weeks you should be TEACHING your marketing on here rather than asking basic questions.

You must be pulling in a high volume of work to be booked three weeks in advance at this time of year so what's the problem?

I do have a few jobs lined up but they are mostly £35/50 jobs single carpets.

I suppose I'm doing Ok for a newbie having 15 jobs to do over 3 weeks but remember that would only equate to 1 job a day if I was full time.

Is this about what I should be expecting at this time of year and my stage of career in CC?

With regards to collect and deliver on rugs I do this as I made a big mistake a few months back and attempted to clean some rugs in a customers house and I made a bit of a mess of them,I now always do them on the garden on pallets.I will only go and collect them if they are local.I would charge my minimum fee of £35 to do a rug at home

Yes generally find though that the "can you come and clean just my 6x4 rug"
think it's going to cost them a tenner or so.
Would love to clean the rugs but haven't found a viable solution to the
pricing.

You are right most think that you can do them for a tenner,to be honest Ive only done rugs to collect and deliver twice.

I do still get asked to "just run over this whilst youre here" and will do so if the rugs are smallish and not too dirty but a few months ago when I first started I tried to do 2 big rugs in the customers living room and didn't do a great job so i feel more confident doing them on my own at home.

I had a builder ask if he could drop them off at my house
then I could clean them in my own time and he would pick
them up as and when.
Never thought to ask the sizes.
Both were roughly 14 foot x 9 foot.
Bear in mind it was beginning of January, ended up struggling
with them in Dining Room as there was snow on ground and
garage was full.
There ok in Summer when you can sheet up drive.

Think you summed it up there John

If you havnt got the facility to do it proper you are fighting a battle.

and of course, John, the professional charge for rug cleaning seems to be far in excess of what you manage to charge for carpet cleaning. So you need the right client.  Those who want to pay £25 for a carpet clean will still want a rug clean for a tenner.
