Pricing commercial
« on: August 31, 2005, 07:48:34 pm »
Hi all, i have my first commercial job to quote for but i'm not sure what to charge. I have been looking back through previous post but still none the wiser.
My current price for dommestic is 85p a window. Now i've heard you can double the price per window with commercial?
There are 5 propertys all of them are appartments and the hieght is 3 storeys 4 plus the bottom. Do you price more the higher you go?
All help would be much appreciated,
Rob.

HI Rob

You will probably find, everyone prices different. I charge £1.50 a window for commercial. You could add an additional cost to this per floor.

e.g.  ground floor £1.50
        1st Floor      £1.65
        2nd floor     £1.80 etc

Try it out, the only fear is you over pricing and not getting the work. However, if you can afford the risk, take it, at least you will know for the next time.

I have priced as high as £5 per window, purely because I didn’t want the work and still ended up getting it :-(
