can it be done
« on: June 16, 2010, 08:03:50 am »
Hi
Can anyone advise me i have a building front to clean as part of an overall patio/walkway clean .
On low pressure could i adapt a 35ft wfp to a pressure washer to carry out a general wash down of  the building, it's a painted surface and covered in cobwebs.
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks
Richie

hi there

how high, wide is the building, does it front onto public pathways or highways ??

the alternative would be a pressure wash, from either a scissor lift of cherry picker.

we do this type of task on  a regular basis and would be more than happy to discuss further with you.

regards

Martin

an x-jet would do it if its only low pressure you need.

Its not an x-jet mate,.. not sure it'll be up to the job.

The beauty of an x-jet is that it can draw as much chem as the water flowing through it. If you've a 16lpm pressure washer, you can shoot 32lpm! The higher flow rate means that you can shoot further & cover large area's faster. While the x-jet injection rate is adjustable, I tend to pre-dilute the chem & leave the x-jet on full flow for this reason.

For a cheaper version that is actually better than the official x-jet try ebay item 370284912319

Not sure if it would go this high on its own!! But if you connect it to a extendable lance which is what i intend to do then it should do the job!!!

The only problem with spraying that high from the floor using the x-jet is if you get a windy day (which happens quite often down here) would it not end up overspraying the chemical on surrounding properties?
