no it classes as a modification because it never came out of the factory with it gav. it also has to be fitted correctly for the insurer to be happy with it wether its declared or not. ive tied mine down with some old rope, it feels soilid secured to my drivers seat

im with a plan, fully comp on a lwb tranny and all mods declared for 550

  I don't quite get this "carrying water" subject. Surely the reason we buy vans is to carry things,
 so whether its 1/2 ton of water or 1/2 ton of sand, paper, etc and its srapped down properly to the cargo anchor points and the weight is within payload limits then whats the problem
