flow rate....FLOWMASTER CONTROLLER
« on: June 11, 2010, 07:45:49 am »
i have the pure freedom one(it goes up to 99)

ive had it on 45/60/90!what do you guys set it on?

if its on 28-35 like a recent poster it doesnt seem adequate and it takes longer to clean the window!

at the moment it seems so much easier to get up the ladders and trad them!(16 years trad!its a natural instinct now!!)

Every setup is different,.. the same numbers do not always mean the same flow rate. Put your brush head in a bowl, switch on the water and see how much you get in a minute. A lot of guys use only 1 litre per minute,.. I use more but find I can work faster because of it. On a trolley system you prob want to get used to a lower flow though, so start with 1 litre per minute and when you get the hang of things you might even drop a bit lower.

When I started I ran it at 47, I think if the water is hitting the window and splashing back then it to high.
The times I have wanted to go back to ladders but stick with it.
I have found that every day without fail there is some problem with the system but each time you work round it and seems to get easier as time goes on.
Wait till your hose hates you  ;D ;D ;D

28-35 isnt enough.

I used to run mine on at least 50 (60 on first clean) when I was feeling generous or the end was in sight towards the end of the day Id up it.

i have the same controller and find that 45 is about right , do you find that it takes awhile for the water to flow out of the brush , i also have the analogue controller from pfreedom and the water flows much quicker to the brushhead regards alan

I run mine on 9 seems low now compared to everyone else  :o but in all honesty Ive never had a problem or complaint in the 2 months or so Ive used it ... only use it to do windows I cant reach by ladder ... tried it on 25 -35 but made no difference apart from getting thru water really fast ... i rinse nice and slow and no complaints so far

40 - 45 on a regular clean.... 60 - 70 on a first clean (depending how dirty it is)
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

s.w.c bloody hell it must be dribbling out the brush on setting 3!!

each to there own!!i loved it on a nice and high flow but it does use a lot of water!as i can only carry 300 L in the van i better turn it down a bit!!

do you all use a lot less water on regular cleans?

say ive cleaned all my custys 3 times with wfp will i only need to splash and dash and only clean the top frames etc every few months or so?

is this when you really speed up when the custy is out? :P ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

dazmond, with the style of jets I'm using they have good pressure, standard jets are good starting point but there are little tricks out there you will learn as you got, i recent gave nat a brush with my style of jets and he saves water and gets a better rinse than standard jets,

Daz. On really dirty frames and conny roofs, i connect my hose to the custys water supply.I give them a really good clean first and then connect up to my trolley and rinse with pure water. This saves a huge amount of pure water.Go gently around the window seals.I find if I clean really dirty window ledges with my trolley it takes ages to remove all the dirt, connected to custies hose takes half the time.
