Hi Guys,
I've been working on my tax return this week for 2009/10. As this is my first complete tax year of working solely in the carpet and upholstery cleaning business i was interested to see what percentage of my income was being spent on things such as chemicals, advertising, equipment etc.
My advertising costs for tax year 2009/10 were just over 10% of my income.
This feels like a comfortable expenditure for me at this stage in running my own business. I thought it might be interesting to have a poll to see how our spending on advertising compares.
I imagine that over the coming years i will gain more and more work from referrals and repeat custom and might be able to advertise less.

Thanks for taking part in the poll. :)
Ben.
