I have gone through about 6 pairs so far this year, so next, tesco, garages ect.

I sit on them stand on them lose them. I think they should make contact lense sunglasses that way I would save a fortune and I would not forget them.

The best defense for sun in the eyes is a baseball cap. As its usually an issue when doing the upper windows.

I have a pair of polarised sunglasses (rating level 4, 5 being the highest), I find I'm constantly removing them to make sure the windows are being rinsed clear.

They do make it more comfortable, and offers protection for your eyes when working in sunny conditions.

For those times of the day when the sun is just above the roof line, a basbeball cap, or other rimmed hat  works wonders to keep the direct light out of your eyes. Basically for those times when you use your hand to block the sunlight when you look up.

graduated sunglasses mean darker at top of the lense and gets light at the bottom of the lenses.

ive had a pair of superdrug sunglasses for 3 years now!well worth 3quid! ;D ;D

any old sunglasses will do!i do wear a cap some days but i prefer the sunglasses.it is hard to see what your doing with a trad pole/wfp if the sun is glaring just above the roof line but hey ho! most custys dont go round inspecting upstairs windows(i hope not anyway!!) ;D ;D ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!

I prefer bue tint to see the glass better. Still use the Dewalt ones now & again - great against scratches & at a throw away price.

Why first thought was why does he need sunglasses for sitting in the toilet?  ;D

I did get some myself with the UV protection.  Don't forget to put them through the books as eye protection to enable you to work more safely.  I never use mine for anything other than work as I'm not one for laying in the sun.

I bought some cycling/fishing glasses from ebay for £6 early last year with polarized green and purple lenses.

They are cheap but leightweight, I'd describe them more like goggles that sit nice on the top of my head and with no fuss go easily over my eyes when needed.

They'll last ages yet, I wouldn't advise spending a lot on sunglasses as they can be the ones that break. As mine are moulded rubber if I sit on them they take the flak.

Nike sports sunglasses with a contrast lenses are very good - expensive at around £80 though worth it.

Golf visor is good too.

I use Oakley and Blocs.

Anyone ever tried those Tru Color ones off the TV. They seem very good but probably a rip off like most tv sales.
