I got some tyres the other day ,, when I was getting quotes 2 places said words to the effect of ,,, if you get a better price , let us know and we will beat them....
I told them both that I wanted the best price now , surely that is a more honest way of quoting, I always give my lowest quote first, though as I am providing a service and not goods , the nly way I will knock money off is through lowering the service level offered or insisting on immediate payment.
