Thinking of Upgrading
« on: May 12, 2010, 04:26:34 pm »
This may be of interest to anyone thinking of upgrading to a 3 vac machine or even to a affordable new truck mount, or indeed anyone who has not seen a portable van mounted, or the Prowler..

The 2 videos are on you tube, both are American.

The Scorpion is from a guy who put his video on another forum.  The Scorpion is a 3 vac system but interestingly this guy has a inline single vac booster (just outside the front door) making this a 4 vac system with the main unit in his "truck". He has a generator but most over here run heavy duty extension cables from the house to the van. He also has an inline heater (again just outside the door. He says the machine has done 4000 hours and still on original vac motors -impressive.

The 2nd video is of the 13hp Prowler. The video shows the builder of the Prowler (I think). He takes you thro the machine nicely, and uses 150 ft of hose just to show how effective the machine is (he obviously could have used less at that house). There is a part 2 to this you tube video.

I hope you find these helpful. I personally think they are 2 very good you tube videos.

C'mon lads.  You got to remember it is from over the pond and everything is "big and brash" and "up in your face".  ;D

What it does show is what you can do with a 3 vac (or even a 4 vac) porty.

That's a terrible demo.........If I was looking for a machine the Nordic video would have impressed me a lot more than the Prowler demo........

Surprised you don't know about the Nordic Electric T/M ..........It's been rated for some time as the best electric T/M . When I went onto the Prowler video a video of a Nordic appeared on the menu and it was an impressive demo of their machine in action which is why I commented on the demo.

Just type - nordic truck mount - in the you tube search bar and youll find it. There are others with impressive performances like the " Savage " machines.

From my earliest days in c/c the dream machine has always been something like the Prowler and I was fascinated when it first appeared in the UK even better than I'd ever expected.
