Recoil Starter Jammed

As title, recoil starter jammed on pressure washer, comes out about an inch only, any ideas?

Might be wrapped around itself inside,take caution if taking bits i think there may be a spring inside under tension .maybe someone with more knowledge will know

bizarrely, i have gone out to take the cover off, and investigate, and it's pulled straight out!! strange.
will have to keep an eye on this i feel!

Has the machine been on its side? if it does it again remove the plug and try again as it sounds like it may have hydrauliced up, it can be a carb problem if its not fell over

I HAD THIS PROB ALL I DID WAS TAKE PLUG OUT AND PULLED A FEW TIMES THEN PLUG BK ON FULE ON JOB DUN
