Window Cleaning Meeting with HSE - Read This
« on: August 12, 2005, 10:02:50 pm »
HI Everyone,

Just received an email from the Professional Window Cleaner magazine. Contents below: -

Dear Window Cleaner,

An Important Meeting You Haven't Been Told About

Later this month, representatives of the HSE will meet with the window cleaner's Federation, and leaders of other industry organizations to discuss the future of window cleaning in the UK.

Though you may not have heard about this meeting, it will likely have a major effect on the way window cleaning is performed for many years to come.

In order to make sure that window cleaners opinions are properly taken into account, Professional Window Cleaner magazine is conducting a survey to gather information about the way window cleaners work. We are especially interested to know what window cleaners think about different methods of working.

The survey will be enclosed in issue 3 of PWC Magazine (which will be released in the next few days) but you can also submit your response by completing our online version:

http://www.professionalwindowcleaner.co.uk/survey

It only takes a few minutes
Please do take a minute to complete the survey, we feel that its vitally important that the views of window cleaners are taken into consideration in any decisions that are to be made.

In fact, we're so keen to get the views of window cleaners, we're giving away a free subscription to 5 respondents chosen at random.  (If you are already a subscriber and your response is one of the 5 chosen, we'll send you a free window cleaning hip-bucket instead)

May we stress that PWC magazine will NOT pass on the information to anyone else, nor will it be used for any marketing purposes.  We are conducting this survey purely because we believe that the views of window cleaners are important, and that decisions should not be made without taking them into consideration.

So, Complete our survey today, and you could have a free subscription, just for giving us your opinion!

It seems a survey to promote WFP's.

The questions are not really loaded are they.

How about asking a question like have you ever had a near miss whilst driving a car and then go onto asking if you think it's cheaper and safer to use public transport when you have a vested interest in others using public transport?

Sorry but that survey really rattled my cage.

Anyway, people driving cars are at risk so stop driving them. Yeah?

What about deaths from smoking? Ban that instead.

And so on and so forth.

just took the survey, not convince it is of any use.

The answers to the questions were far to narrow to give a good response, anyway who elected them our spokesman?
