I've read a few have been using micro fibre cloths on leaded lights.
I tried it this week..Used alottle GG4 in spray bottle with water, wiped off with micro fibre.  Worked a treat, non-smear, shiney windows!
Am I using them right?  Is there a better way?  Most importantly why are these cloths so expensive!!  not much bigger than a handkerchief for a fiver!!
Anyone know of a supplier offering them at Windowcleaner's prices?

We also use microfibre cloths on leaded glass.

Try Tesco's.....their own brand microfibre cloths are about 300mm sq and are less than a quid each.

Tescos is rubbish.

Rubbish for veg, rubbish for meat, rubbish for tinned food and rubbish for everything else.

But, hey, 200 million customers' can't be wrong!

The Tesco cloths are a coarser material more like towelling, not the fine material like the Unger Microwipes


You can buy similar cloths to these even cheaper from Lidl's, they are just over a quid for a pack of 2.

I personally prefer the coarser Tescos ones.   Why dont you risk a quid and try one?

A micro fibre car wash pad, your usual washing water and a dash of dishwasher rinse aid, squeeze out surplus water, wash glass and scrim dry. can't beat it. Dai

In warm or hot weather cleaning leaded glass is always easier.

When it's hot or warm out I spray GG4 on and wipe clean with an Unger microfibre.

When cold or in winter I use Nilsglass and spray on, wipe with a scrim and buff with a microfibre.

As for Tesco's microfibre's. I found them useless unless it's just a few windows. It's when you're doing a large job that the difference becomes apparent.

An old towel is better in those situations than Tesco's microfibre.

Also, we bought Unger microfibre cloths last week and the price was down to £4.99 each for the large ones.

Is this one of those psychometric tests
