did a job today, took 2 hrs and charged £100.. do you think thats ok or should i charge by square metre?
i usually just guess a price and hope i havent oversold/undersold myself
was thinking £5 a square metre? wont have to worry then?
I have priced 100's of jobs.
I have considered per m2 as you suggested.
I have yet to see someone with a pricing system that satisfies how long it takes vs how much to charge.
I guess how long a regular clean will take and work it out to an hourly rate.
Often I will get this wrong. I find if you are open and honest with the customer they are usually OK when you tell them "sorry I totally under priced this job, I'll do it for the quoted price this time but if you want me to come back next time it'll be £X".
I do try to avoid doing this but it is better than coming back next time and doing a half assed job.
£100 for 2 hour sounds cheap to me.
Especially if you consider that they couldn't even rent a machine for that......
