Back-flips and swivel-locs!!! We've a wadge of houses to do today - all with windows with stuck on plastic strips to give them the 'Georgian Window' look.
I've tried all-sorts, but the quickest way is (we find) to give a light misting with a spray, filled with a car windscreen wash solution and some elbow grease.
How basic is that! They pay well though.

Tosh,
I do the same thing on some of my jobs. It rarely makes sense to do it that way, but not if you charge a little extra.

Yeah, that is a great time-saver if you have a real big job, or several regular jobs with a certain size pane. Some of the windows here have the fake panes put on top of the glass. The water runs behind them. That's when I use the auto glass cleaner. Does take longer, I charge more for it though.
