ionics clamp copy of gardiners?
« on: March 16, 2010, 08:04:52 pm »
Just got the new catalogue from ionics featuring thir new swift pole with the transverse clamp, correct me if im wrong but think alex will be on to his legal team, only difference is the colour.
i have four gardiner poles and if ionics are copying them, then alex must have got it right.

The lateral clamp does seem a but stupid, but it applies greater force than a transverse one and is shorter in lenght. As we are obsessed with closed lengh this is important.

Saddle clamps on mountain bikes have a somewhat similar design and have been around many years. A lot of what people say about patents is just toffee.
