A back up of clients is not the program you need the program on your new comp first.

try coping the data base onto the stick as a drag and drop (full copy from desktop) not backup data
then on the new comp open it up on stick then save as but the stick may not have the space to fit the whole program on

or connect the two comps together via network port create a home network then transfer data,

or buy a external cd drive and install the program via cd then update clients via backup data from stick

or see if there is a free trial on the internet of your program then just enter your user id and pass codes that you will have on the paperwork that came with the cd

hope this helps

If cleaners mate already on your new machine then is there a drop down box available when you go to import clients?  If so then the stick should show there.

I think ;D

Think you need to be more specific.
Is it just data you created on your old computer you want to transfer?

Have you installed the program on your new computer.

I think I am right in saying that Kev has put a limit of 2 computers for the program to be intalled on.
Have you excedded this?

Best place to go to would be Kev & Roxy. They offer a service when you buy the package - use it to good effect.

Its 250 i think i um ed and ah ed wether o not to gt it but it is well worth the money i am rubish on computers and even i can use all the functions it tells me at the click of a button what advertising is working , sending reminders to custys storing all the data i need.

Great backup service too kev is a really helpful guy had a prob transfering to new computer and he rang me up without me asking him too help through it.

you can down load a demo but to be honest you dont get the full benefit till you start using it every day.

You can see the functions being demoed here

http://www.carpetcleaningsoftware.co.uk/

2 versions one at £200 one at £245

Download the trial for one month, and if you buy you dont loose any of the entries you put in already.

Ricky, I think Kev got banned for blatantly advertising the goods that HE was marketing.
It was some time ago.
Sounds like he saw Richards query about transferring date so maybe he has restricted access (can look) or he has access but he chooses not to come on.
I dont know - just my ideas.
