 a few weeks ago i started using a spray bottle on my belt instead of lugging my bucket with me and i tell you its a godsend .  im still trying to find a spray bottle that jets out a good gobful ,but i now spray the glass from about 6 feet away with clean solution everytime (bucket has only clean water on first dip  )  and its often funny seeing some old crocks face crease  as the water hits the glass  in front of them 

 ive fixed the spray bottle to my belt on a small length of chromed chain and fire from-the hip

Why not use a drinks bottle and run the solution along the flipper pad

up a ladder that would be tricky as it would take 2 hands at the same time to do that
