Just taken a bs36 off an office job in order to use it to pre vac on carpets, cleaned it all up, it needs new filters, brush strip etc, but it also needs a new base plate, has anyone got any idea how to get the old one off? Ive tried and getting no where fast.

Take the four screws out and remove the silver brush strip access cover on the side and it should come off.
