I'm fed up squinting in the sun so I've tried wearing sunglasses but can't see clearly through them. Are there any special sunglasses out there which are suitable for window cleaning?

Also, does anyone wear a beany type hat to protect their head and face from the sun?

If anyone knows where to get either of the above, please post any info. Thanks, Glen.

I wear perscription sunglasses and have found them fine, it may be you need lighter shades.

i also wear a silly cricketers hat, you need a rim to protect your neck. I look a right chump, but I don't want to burn.

I always found that the sweat would run into my eyes and I was always rubbing them. I was then told to rub vasalin on the eyebrow so the sweat runs down the side of your face and not into your eyes. Works a treat. I dont like sunglasses because when you take them off at the end of the day you have white lines where they have been.

Yellow tinted sun glass's work VERY WELL, red are ok, BUT not as good as Yellow

Try screwfix safty sun glasses about a tenner
also wear baseball cap when sun really bright

Big straw "Cowboy" hat with broad brim for me, [same one I wear when I visit my beehives]; and a LARGE hankerchief down the back of the neck.

I wear a hat like a baseball cap with a piece of material that covers the neck, the ears and part of the shoulders. Cuz I've got chubby chops and squinty little eyes my bro. took one look at me and said "The Japs have landed!"

I wear a baseball cap back to front to protect the neck. I never put sun cream on and I have fair skin. I do though put moistourier on ( its late how the heck do you spell it)
I never seem to burn but on Wed I came home and I was rather red. The 1st time in years. I think the skin just gets used to all the different weather changes that we have. I will from now on put on a sun cream as every 2 years we really get the heat wave.

"Sun Protection".  I definitely wear sun screen (sun block).  You can use SPF 15 or 20 and won't burn, but you still get a little tanned. 

Definitely use sun screen!  It will be a lot harder cleaning windows days after you've had carcinomas cut out of your face or neck or arms.  Rub it in boys.

Sun glasses important too.  I think that the lighter shade glasses that block UV rays are good because you can still see all the details on the glass.

In Oz everyone wears a brimmed hat all the time. And don't forget the sunscreen. I have seen skin cancer and it ain't pretty.

Thats what I always found. You sweat and they just slide down your nose. Your then always pushing them back on.
However I promise to wear the sun cream. Does anybody recommend a certain type? I still want to get a sun tan and of course protect my skin.
