AM SO TOTALLY LOST???????
« on: June 27, 2005, 04:24:07 pm »
I have been using a tucker pole system for 2 years and have a very good business.
And i have posted various issues on here regarding ro units and i am totally lost.
There are so many dealers out there who are after our business like i dont know what.
Example: one dealer is selling an ro merlin for £390 @vat is £458.25,another is selling for £329 inclusive another is doing for £300 and another is doing for £550 all fitted etc etc etc etc so which one as a window cleaner do we go for? the cheapest ?the one without a phone number who you cant get intouch with? so i am asking you all who have an ro unit not just a merlin as you all have different setups to really help me out here because i dont really want a £3000 static system with 2 x 2000 ltr tanks all i need is a  ro unit that will make me 700 litres of pure water each day.If icosts me 50 great if it costs me 500 quid  great but im not sure im getting the right info from them i need it hands on from all yourselves who use them for window cleaning.

emails are fine but as you all know its pretty hard to discuss properlly so i dont mind calling you if you would leave a phone number

Thanks to all

Did you see this by post by Andrew?

Roy,

That's why your resin life is so long.  Your system probably removes 98% of the 118 ppm in your tap water, and you're then feeding your resin with product water at only 2 or 3 ppm TDS.  If your tap water was, say 400ppm, and you were using a Merlin, you'ld be feeding water at 28 ppm to your resin, and it would only last one tenth as long.

Horses for courses !

Andrew

Got mine from stream tec support was excellent. And the sent all fittings and setup instuctions.

2 x 20" fillter housings
1 x 20" Carbon block fillter
1 x 20" Particulate fillter
1 x 4x40 Pentair R/o

Cost £783.34 this will produce 2000 ltrs 31/2 hrs at 80 psi.

You will not be dissapointed.

Roy :)
