« on: January 20, 2010, 04:59:41 pm »
Just got off the phone to tackle saver about the 11m carbon Signal pole .

Told the guy i didnt want the top kits and he said to be honest mate your only looking at a fiver off. Told him anything was better than nothing.

He then said he would charge me full price, but knock the postage off which is £6.99.

£7 discount    ;D   8)   :P

can these be adapted to be extendable rather than modular?

Hey guys, sorry forgot to update.

The pole is so much lighter compared to the FG pole.

Its a bit tricky at the moment as I've never used a modular pole before, but it works and works well.

I think its a case of getting used to it.

I don't think it could be modified to a telescopic pole.

Ill do another update at the end of next week when its had a solid 4 days use. Well I'm only planning on using it on the houses I can't reach with my harris.

i got used to it after a few days, it became the norm

There is a way of adapting these, but they tend to lock up when wet, or collapse. So they are not there yet.

for purists only I am afraid.

well i will probably be run off the forum for this  ;D

but here goes

i was doing a job recently, and could not quite reach 2 windows, with mod

so i got the harris out , extended the first section

and fitted it up the last modular section :o

if that makes any sense to you

it got the job done no probs , and saves me buying a bigger pole 8) ;D ;D

Nothing wrong with that mate, I use the Harris with an unger number one section on the top, and an unger number 5 on the bottom.
For those of you that still have the old Unger teleplus pole it's ideal.
I used this on a load of town houses the other day, rather than fiddle with the SL2 in sections.
