I have not done much work in the last month. But I have not thought of sacking my window cleaner to save money

There are some good, educational programmes on tv but they are very few and far between. I watched a good one on Lawrence of Arabia on Saturday night BBC2. But it`s the exception rather than the rule.

Its amazing how many houses you go to where the TV is on all day, every day. Some houses never turn the thing off. All they are watching is utter rubbish. Other houses there is a computer switched on in the back room as well and its always permanently signed in to Facebook.

Some interesting comments, but topic now locked as it has now lore or less morphed into a general conversation about television.
