Anyone using an Airflex Turbo from Cleansmart?

Specs look great but heard some horror stories regarding water being drawn thru the vac motors from day one.   :o

There one on ebay at the moment.

I dont have one but I have spoken to a few carpet cleaners that have them and say they are great and would not go back to any other portable.

A reliable source explained that this problem had been solved. Richard Basey Fisher uses the triple vac and from what he says, it's a great piece of kit!!!!

It sounds like a couple of problems in the early days, but any 3 vac porty working efficiently will be like jumping into a Ferrari after driving a Mondeo.

Any new machine will have the odd teething problem. I am sure that Matt has worked his butt off to make sure he sorts out any problems that have occurred. The rumours will be exaggerated by some very jealous competitors and should not be listened to. On paper it is the best machine in its class and a British product. As soon as I am in the market for a new portable it will be at the top of my shopping list.

we tested one for matt, and found it to be a great machine allround, three vac works great, never needed to use the pump at anthing over 200 psi, we found no problems, well made machine and matt is much better at after service than the well known companys we have delt with.

The Solutions Triple Vac is a nice looking machine, well weight balanced, very well thought out and incredibly maintainer friendly..... I might ask for a test drive actually next time I'm in there :)

I have the Altec Triple Vac and it's an amazing bit of kit.... There were doubts about triple vacs initially but I've managed "Not" to trip people's electrics at all and the water's always hot enough when it comes to acid rinse time.... And only today, a lady stopped me in Tesco to say she was so delighted with how quick the carpets were dry and she's recommended me to everyone at her work..... Result!!!!!

What is the claimed CFM of the triple vac Airflex?  I have used the Scorpion by Solutions quite alot, it is a good machine.  I felt comfortable using it with 100 feet of 2 inch vac hose. Plenty of water pressure from the pump to.  The switches tend to jam though so if you buy a Scorpion go to Maplins & get some spare ones, the waste tank cut outs are poope and its murder trying to steer the portable when fresh tank is full, it doesnt have a water pressure gauge which in my opinion it needs and has no heater.  As i have said though....it does perform well. ;)

Richie, I don't even attempt to push my machine around when it's got 50-70kg of water in it.... All that water sloshing around mixed with electric components? Rather you than me...... :o

I have a Scorpian, its about two and a half years old, its been modified and has a probe sencer that detects the water level and cuts the pump when water is getting to high, also the switches have been relocated at the top of the machine, i was getting sick of changing the switches as water was dripping onto them! also the internal bores of the vacume inlets and exhausts have been enlarged and now are smooth bores as oposed to the cosenteener type that were origanily fitted,  all this has created more airflow
