To the left of the picture is the end of a  Pure Freedom 100m hose complete with on/off value (off ebay last week)

To the right is the end of a 18ft Ionic Pole

Guys please.... what connector do I need to join these ? Size, Description, Ebay number etc

But if i were you i`d change both and use same as me they are by far the best connectors you can buy,have a look on this link and scroll down to the female connectots and then scroll down a bit more to the male connectors yes they are dearer but believe me they will last years

Guys, thanks for your posts......... The Ionic water fed pole on the right was brought brand new last week, the connector on it is attached to the feed pipe up the pole, I'd have to cut the rubber feed tube to remove the connector, is this wise? Is there any other way? Thanks

I would do it differently.
I work with hozelock type fittings.  I would cut off the metal fitting, jubilee clip some half inch hose to the end of the smaller bore 100m hose, and put a hozelock type fitting on that.  It takes the Ionic fitting.
The hozelock type fittings can be obtained with a flow controller on them.
Like this available at most decent garden centres
