I have won a contract on an mod site but I need 5 million of pl insurance. I have phoned the company I am already with but they won't touch the base because the base in question is nuclear!

Any suggestions on where to get cover from and is it likely to be really expensive?

I wouldn't have thought about it either. Would you have increased your price if you had known beforehand?

It depends on how much extra it costs, but I needed it anyway for another commercial contract I have won as well

Not signed yet but due to very soon and was getting everything in place first so I am lucky at the moment

A-PLAN do a decent liability insurence and for 5 Million cover you should only pay about £140-£150


you may also find you have to provide a CRB check as well
