Gymnastics mat/carpet
« on: October 29, 2009, 06:40:29 pm »
Hi guys,

I've got to go look at/quote on this tomorrow - 12 x 12 metre.  Lady describes it as 'carpet' material, used to do their floor exercises on.

I've never even seen one of these b4, let alone cleaned one  ??? so if any of you guys have any previous experience of cleaning these in the past, any pointers or tips would be appreciated.  I only have HWE (CFR) at the moment.

Cheers
Martin

The reason the responses are slow is that it could be anything.

Hi Pete,

Yeah I do appreciate that and thanks anyway for the reply, was just wondering if anyone had done anything similar but I realise of course that it could be anything.  I'll just have to have a good look/test and take it from there.

Thanks again.

Hi guys,

quoted on this just over a week ago and they've asked me to go ahead.  It's basically their floor exercise mat.  It's tufted synthetic shortish pile 14 x 14 metre total area in roughly 4 metre wide strips.  Carpet is sitting on just over an inch of foam matting with each strip is joined at the seams with Velcro.  Lots of spots and stains although those that I tested all surrendered easily.  Not massively soiled all things considered.

What would you have quoted?
