Slate floor cleaning
« on: May 29, 2005, 04:43:37 pm »
Customer as a slate tiled floor in her kitchen and dining room.

She has cleaned it in the past with an unknown floor cleaner.  She says it was sealed when new.

Question is should I just clean over the sealer or would it need to be stripped off first, cleaned and resealed and then polished??

Could I clean and polish over the existing sealer?

How do you tell if the sealer is in good condition?

thanks
Mark

Yike, I've never come across a sealed slate before. In my experience they are always left bare. What is it sealed with?
