Hard floor cleaning with Powr Flite Perfect Heat
« on: October 15, 2009, 11:28:59 am »
I use a Powr Flite Perfect Heat machine and wondered if it might be suitable to attempt hard floor cleaning?  Its max pressure is 500psi.

The same pie chart will apply as for carpet cleaning
CHAT
chemical
heat
agitation
time

get the right fluid and away you go.

Thanks Joe.  All the research I'd done seemed to indicate pressure, at least 1000 psi, to be a prime factor.  I haven't tried the machine out as I haven't got a hard floor wand.  Any suggestions?  I've been looking at a couple of Prochem ones but there's also a 300mm two jet wand from Restormate for £134.00.  Is it a case of 'you get what you pay for'?

The wand you mention is only suitable for low pressure (up to 200psi) and is really designed just for rinsing off after a tiled floor has been scrubbed or for taking off softened emulsion polish. The Prochem one is a heavy duty one.
