This is a ibc tank
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PLASTIC-IBC-CONTAINER_W0QQitemZ170391274716QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Storage?hash=item27ac1c84dc&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
The best ones are black (but more costly)
to collect the rainwater I just put a rainwater diverter (available from all good DIY stores) into the down pipe of my guttering and drill a hole into the ibc and connect up

I just put the rainwater into a DI Trolley same as this
http://www.polarbrite.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_20_24&products_id=61
Just to add I've put filter wool (from aquatic stores) inside and at tho top of the down pipe to catch all the crud.
I might invest in a cheap RO unit in the spring just in case!!! (I do live in the driest part of the UK)
